Tuesday night was Rotary Club of Wujih's meeting and I had to attend. Had to introduce myself and present some things to the club president.
I was invited to sit in front with President, Life(sells insurance) =P and Lawyer, the guest speaker. They have rather odd nicknames they give themselves. Cement (works in contruction), Polylon(owns a packaging factory), CNC(factory also), Teeth(dentist), Implant(not plastic surgeon..not sure what he does), Apple(deals with computers), Wasabe(owns a chain of Jap restaurants)
At first when I saw their names I thought they were VERY VERY VERY STRANGE. lol. But then I looked at their professions, then I'm like..OOOOOHHHHHHH..i SEE. lol
Rotarians here are very very semangat it's like when the President says..Good evening everyone..how is everybody doing?
Everyone..everyone chorus back in reply..GOOD! and it's not a slow..gooooddd..like how we greet our teachers in the mornings..I was pretty impressed by how meetings are conducted in Taiwan and how interested, warm and friendly rotarians here are.
Anyways I had to give a short speech in Mandarin o.O Went pretty okay..they were quite impressed that I could speak Mandarin at all..it was short..but they understood what I was trying to say..so I'm happy =)

Presenting Rotary Club of Damansara's bannerette to President Life
and a little something we shopped for ourselves =) when I unrolled the thing..everyone was like..WWWOOOOOAAAHHHH..I was like..lol..ookkkaaayyyy people..just a flag thing..no need to get so excited...
And this one..I'm not sure what we were laughing at..but I was having difficulty trying to explain some important landmarks to everyone and might have said something wrong =P
So that was pretty much it..can't wait for next rotary meeting =) like I said rotarians here are such such nice people! =D
