Orientation Baby!!!! XD

The long-awaited Orientation!!

The first thing I thought about when I came to Taiwan. It was a little boring at home and I was counting down the days till orientation, when I would be able to meet all the other exchangers. But stoooppid typhoon came and it got postponed till the following week. I swear my host mum actually sounded happy and there was a tinge of triumph in her voice when she told me that it's postponed. = . =

Anyhow, host dad dropped me off at the hotel where the orientation was going to be held. I went upstairs to find that I lot of host families have actually come along to watch their exchange students introduce themselves in Chinese and perform something from their country. I was going to speak as well and perform a short song, but my whole family was back home, sleeping. I've never felt so loved, I tell you.

Nevertheless, spotted the first exchange student I met here in Taiwan! Ross from US. We met at where we got our Visas done.

He sitting right in front of me with two other Taiwanese teenagers. I sorta guessed the possibility of him being an exchange student like me. I was trying to guess where he was from, he was wearing a cap that had a French flag on it..so I was like..I don't remember our district having an exchange student from France...maybe he isn't an exchange student.

Then my host mum talked to his host dad, and found out that he's from US!

Anyways...it was a nice feeling to know that there are others here already and that I'm not alone :)

We had a bit of time to socialize and get to know one other, exchange namecards and pins.

It was great to know that there are exchangers from Thailand, India and Indonesia as well! :D

Then we had this little talk about how to learn Chinese..

From Mexico, Eduardo, Hugo, Jorge, and Adrian

Myself with Mathuros and Saya from Thailand!
