Meet my cute neighbour, Nini. She comes over to play once in a while..brings back old old memories when we used to use lego blocks and build houses and play characters..hehe
She likes me okayy..she just wasn't ready for the picture..
My host dad owns a factory, and well we bring him dinner sometimes, so here's a few pictures of what his factory looks like..
it doesn't smell very good though..
Sometime in the week we visited Grandma! Host mum's parents. They live somehwhere in 乌日not really sure where exactly. But somewhere a bit more kampung.
This is the view outside their house..pretty nice huh?
September 1st- Followed host mum to pray to 土地公
We went to a temple first, then to host dad's factory. It seems that if you pray at the factory it's for wealth and success of the business..or something along those lines..
They have lots of lanterns hanging from the ceiling of the temple. People can pay a small fee and have their family names written on these lanterns and well it's for safety and good luck. They will be up there till the next big festival.
Evenings after bringing host dad his dinner we sometimes stop by the riverside and take a short stroll..the river's pretty dried up but the view at night is still pretty nice cause of all the lights :D
and after our walk they like to reward themselves with Taiwanese 'ice kacang' :P
This shop is just right outside our house..how convinient eh? :P
It's actually called 五種冰so you get to choose 5 different ingredients to go with your ice. I usually just let my youngest host sis, elaine choose..since we share one bowl. One bowl is super big, we can't finish it most of the time..
